Bajirao Mastani Release Delayed?
Buzz is, the film will miss its Christmas deadline due to Ranveers shoulder injury
One of the big Christmas releases of this year may be bowing out of the race.
Yes, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani, which stars Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra, is likely to miss its December 25release.
That leaves Rohit Shettys Dilwale as the solo release for the holiday.
Buzz is, Ranveers shoulder injury has delayed the shoot of the period drama. For those whove come in late, the actor fell off a horse and dislocated his shoulder during the shoot, post which he had to undergo a surgery last month. He has resumed shooting this week after a month-long break.
There were certain scenes that Bhansali wanted to shoot during April, but could not due to Ranveers absence. Now those sequences will be completed only after the monsoon gets over. As a result, the film is expected to hit the theatres in the first quarter of 2016.
